I am doing a historical photo assignment with my Photojournalism class and I was doing some random searches and I tried Coca Cola and came up with some cool pictures (see a sample below). Google has most of Life magazine's pictures archived in high quality. Go to Google Images and put source:Life after your query (Coca Cola source:life).
For those of you from the Chicago area who remember Animal Stories on WLS-AM back in the 80's, you can also check out Mike the Headless Rooster at headless rooster source:life.  oops

Cool Brent, Thanks!
First one is a Mexico plant. "Tome" on the cases.
Good luck on your class.

The license plate on the truck in picture 2 does not look like the USA.
Thanks for posting Brent!

Dang, #2 goes unreadable at first zoom level in PS. The trucks may be early 30's Europe Fords.

 Cool Coke shots.

Hey if I'm Uncle Lar, where's little Tommy?  Two Chicago Dj's, I remember them well.

The cool thing was that when I went down south to Tennessee in the seventies, you could pick up WLS Chicago at night time.  My buddy told me he received it as far down as Florida.  AM only.

I was a radio/electronics geek as a kid. I used to listen to an AM radio at night and see all of the stations that I could hear with the skywave bounce. In Indiana I was picking up stations from both coasts (later I got a scanner and was picking up the California Highway Patrol some days! They really did have unit numbers like Seven Mary Three!). I later got my amateur radio license.

The Photojournalism class I ended up finding out that I was teaching last year a few weeks before school started. I thought that I would be teaching it only one year. This year I am teaching all of the classes!

First pic is from Cuba (click on image to enlarge).
Second pic is from Finland.
Third pic is from France.

Great shots!

I like the third pic.  Dress shirt and tie under the coverall and maybe even a suit coat!  Those were the days when people actually cared about having a professional appearance!
