Got an opportunity to get a Vendo 23 over in Atlanta.  He's asking $750, plus it'll cost me about $70 in gas to make the trip.

Apparently it's in working order.  Thermostat and compressor work, it vends, etc.

Here's the top:

And side:

eBay has one in slightly worse shape that I could have delivered for about $700 inclusive, and it has 0 bids.  Is an $800+ investment too much?

I've had a couple.. $500 was the most I paid... I traded/sold them off... just takes the little bottles...
I think the price is too high.. just my opinion.

Little bottles as in 8 ounces, or the 6.5 ones?
Very happy to get the price opinion, but that little factoid may drastically alter my interest in this model.  I haven't seen any 6.5 oz bottles around here, and whatever machine I get is going to be used.

the V23 was built for the 6 1/2 bottles.
the 8 oz bottles available today are the same size as the 1940's 6 oz bottles, better technology these days

$750 is a tad high.

Have Steve show you his Camaro it's really nice. I would offer him $600 he'll probably take it. I've seen that machine and a couple others he has.
