Those Who Stay Will be Champions!

« on: June 17, 2011, 01:17:05 pm »

I ran across these the other day and have the opportunity to buy them but I was not sure what a good price would be.  The recently completed E-Bay seems to be between $75 and $100 but the ones that I am seeing are all chrome and these ones have been painted red somewhere along the line--I'm guessing to go with a Coke themed room.  They appear to be complete and have some of the fortune cards left in them.  They also have the keys for the locks and the menu holder clips on the back.

Any advice would be appreciated.  I am going to do a diner theme in my basement when I get it finished so these would fit right in if I can get them for a good price.

Thanks!

Eric bought one recently.... I've seen them on ebay in the past painted red so it may have just been another factory finish.

They are great machines. I had one a few years ago. Would look great with a vintage "Big Boys" menu...

I paid $75 for mine... Think they're pretty cool.. When I was looking to buy it I checked completed items
on ebay and seen all chrome ones go up to $300 and a few reach around $200 but these where super
nice with a key, cards, etc.
Painted makes me think the chrome was rough and was cheaper to paint than re-chrome... which you
could use in the wheel'n deal'n talks...

I believe I will be picking these up.  Waiting to hear back from the seller but I think I got a good price.  They have a good stack of fortune cards in each one and keys for both.  Both appeared to have the working coin mechs as well plus the menu clips on the back!  I guess I need to get some vintage Big Boy menus!

They make 2 different typs of this Swami.  One delivers the fortune  in paper, the other uses an internal rotating drum that constantely changes after you lift the window.  Both are very cool.  Here is a pic of the latter version
