Newbie with Dixie Narco machine with a couple questions

Hello I am a newbie that just picked up a Dixie narco coke machine with a couple questions.

1) what year is it?  Model is 180/105-5 serial # is 167---2188   BC
  I found a service manual online and from what I can tell  BC stands fro 1978? the man I bought it from
said it came from the 80s he thought.

2) its a 5 selection machine that the manual says holds (180 12oz cans) or (105 10 oz bottles)
     Is it possible to use 1 selection for 12oz beer bottles. Does this machine hold different size of cans
     and bottles?
 3) by the way it came with vertical shims,  is this for different sizes of cans or bottles?


   Anybody seen this type before? that could give me some info would just be great thanks in advance

It came from the 70's ..... the wood grain gives that away

1978 that's believable.

just sold one just like it .mine had a 73-74 tag inside where it had beenput in  serviced. i had it for 5 years without any problems with it.
