I have had this tricycle for a while now and was wondering if it would be worth restoring? Does anyone have or know of anyone who has an old Evans tricycle they want to get rid of? Parts are almost impossible to find. Thanks!

I would think start on ebay or something like searchtempest that will scan multiple craigslists.  If those are rare it might be a thing that is actually worth more in original condition.  But if your keeping, and want to have it shined up and looking like Christmas morning then go for it.  I think decor wise it looks pretty cool now...

Thanks for the replies and input! I have been looking on the internet, ebay and craigslist for about 3 years now and have only seen one other police tricycle and just a handfull of evans brand tricycles. They sold out to Colson back in the forties or fifties, I think. Still haven't been able to find any parts. If anyone should come across an Evans tricycle, PLEEEEASE let me know and thanks again!! Love this site!!

That is the coolest trike I have ever seen and it looks complete to me. I'm wondering what parts you need that can't be fabricated or found at a bicycle shop?

that is one cool piece of kit..................................................

been looking in england for an old pedal car or tricycle too

this is maybe one of those items where people on the forum

have differing opinions on restore or leave as is, difficult for

me to see condition from pix.

but its your piece, listen to others but make your own decision

then again if you are torn on making that decision just send it

over the water to me and ill make the decision for you!!!!!!!

let us know how you get on

It needs the grips on the handle bars and pedals, which have Evans molded into them. The bearings are shot on the front. Needs new tires, hubcaps and a cover for the back. The cover I can probably make. Its the rest of the items that I can't find. I would like it to be just like the original when, if, I get done.
