Have you confirmed the switch contacts are bad from common(C) to normally open(NO) and normally closed(NC) while operating the switch...?
This is a fairly common switch and may be found at Grainger...

Thanks for the help. I know the switch is bad because I have the auger assembly pulled out, disassembled, spread out on the floor, and then hooked all the wires up. Just a touch of a screwdriver to the screws that go through the switch to hold it onto the particular individual assembly will make it go open/close/open ..., so I'm pretty sure it's the switch, and also I've moved it to a different individual assembly and the problem follows the switch. I'll have to check with Grainger, thanks again for the help.
