Malt mixer

I found a malt mixer at an antique store and am thinking of buying it.It is a commercial grade Hammilton Beach from maybe late 70's to mid 90's with the cup and it is the same type that I use to make shakes and malts at work (only difference is the one I want to buy is a single one and the one at work has three heads) and I am trying to decide if $60 is a good price for it or not. What do you guys think?

Look at it this way...if you needed a backup @ work, would it be worth $60?
What would a new single head mixer cost today? 3-4 times as much?

That is a good point since I did look to see how much a brand new one costs and they are around 4-5 hundred for a new single spindle machine. I think I will check it out tomorrow before work and maybe get it or not. I am really thinking about buying it.

I ended up buying it yesterday and everyone at work thought it was the coolest thing and were asking if there were any more over there. I did some more research on them before I got it and could not find the same type that I was going to get for less than 65 dollars so I figured I did ok on the price. It is almost identicle to the one at work and they even let me make a shake on it to try it out (it was the best milkshake that I had ever made. Strawberry pie ice cream makes an AWESOME shake! ). I also saw that hammilton beach still sells replacement parts for it so I think I might buy a few parts just incase they decide to stop making parts for any reason. Will post some pictures of it tomorrow.

Malt shop in the Bay Area makes a Butterscotch with Carmel that is very tasty.
