Getting the shelves for my v56 ready for powder coating and noticed that I have one slightly longer than the rest.  All attributes of the shelves  and the spring loaded insert appear to be the same except for the length.  Could this shelf actually be for an 81?

I'm quite sure it is for an 81. I'll bet someone would gladly trade with you.

Brian,
Did you show your powder-coater the puller...?
I'd be careful as this may not make through the baking process...
I just did my V-81 shelves and I removed the pulleys just to be safe.
If you opt to leave them on; let us know how they do through the process!

My six cents,

I tried powder coating with the pulleys on a few shelves ( I had some extra at the time)  and off of a few shelves...most of the ones left on were warped  and not usable or stuck...I would always take them off now knowing how mine turned out.

I appreciate the heads up on the roller wheel.  I had actually just finished drilling out the rivets to remove the wheels when I restacked the shelves and noticed the one longer one.  I have a full set of the correct size sliders for the 56.  Will probably go ahead and have the extra powder coated as well.  Won't really cost anything extra and I am doing the 81 at the same time in the same color scheme, so it will match if I ever need it.  I decided to remove the wheels after reading the excellent discussion on it in Moondawg's post from a ways back.
