Was it me or is it really dull to try to trick the viewers regarding old soda machines. Rick Harrison (owner of Gold and Silver) brought an old Vendo 39 to Americas Restoration's Rick dale to be completely restored.
Instead, Rick presented Harrison with a restored Cavalier 72 and told the audience it was the same machine. I was very unimpressed that the producers thought that no one would notice the switch.
Anyone else see the episode?

It's a repeat, too lazy to look for the original thread. I can't watch any of those shows, and Rick claiming it's the producer's who pushed it show me a lack of ethics

My wife even picked up on that one. How lame was that. Especially when they asked him if it was the same machine.

Speaking of... What happened to American Restoration... did it flop?... have seen but the 2 or 3 shows they made... Still waiting for American Pickers to pick up a RC 81 in the wild for nothing...

I have noticed that they haven't made it to Rick's as much in the newer episodes of Pawn Star's so I figured they had to be saving that footage for some a new Restorations season. Those shows are a little goofy but I still watch.

They have been taking their stuff to the count or whatever he calls himself. He restored a pedal car for them including chrome steering wheel, hub caps. new wheels, pedals and seat for $400. I don't think Rick would have done it that cheap. I don't think anyone would have done it that cheap. He's done some other paint jobs on vehicles and the prices seem to be very low. I think he's trying to get as much free publicity as he can. Maybe he thinks he can get his own show.

Rick did get his own show, they are filming now and his season will start in April. I'm sending him the decals for the Stoner Coffee Machine he's restoring.
