I have a Hines oak barrel syrup dispenser that I bought at a garage sale, it is in good shape, and I have absolutely no use for it, but bought it because it looked cool.  My idea is to run the lines from my kegerator through the bottom, drill a tap in the outside, and use it as a decorative table top display for the kegerator that I have.  Has anyone attempted this before?  It seems fairly simple in theory.  If someone has, a picture of the finished product would be great.  Thanks.  M

I did something similar with a cornelius cooler. I sat the keg outside of the cooler and coiled 100' of food grade copper tube into a coil inside of the cooler. It kept the beer cold but for some reason i foamed so bad that it was hard to use. It looked great though.

That does look good. I think I can sit barrel right on top and run lines from kegerator through barrel there shouldn't be to much separation even if I set barrel on bar and hide kegerator as they are plastic lines. That's thenidea anyways.
