I have a Vendo 90 that sat for a year.  It ran great before but it seems the compressor is stuck.  It tries to start but draws too much power and stops.  Would a tap on the housing help free it up?  Would a hard start kit help and which one would work for this 1/4 hp?  Any advise would help.

Try a hard start (3-in-1) starter/boost 1/3-1/4 HP SUPCO makes it & it's available from Grainger supply.

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor

"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Now What do I do?  I took out the whole deck. I installed a new wire harness.  The compressor seems to be working but it is not cooling.  The vertical tube at the end of the condensor gets a little cold but the rest of the tubes do not.  Who can work on these systems.  I would like to find someone in the Chicago area.
