Is Novus the best for this?

As some of you are aware, I am restoring a WB60. I'll post a major thread when done with lots of pics
The inside of the bottle chute is sunburned and scratched up. You see the cleaned up (soap & water) chute in the pic below. Notice the darker (almost dirty look of the inside compared to the outside and even the bottom area, which was behind the bottle flapper.
What can I do to bring this back to life? I have some Novus, but haven't used any on it yet. I wanted to see what you guys do for this situation.

From the description on the Novus web-site, it sounds like that stuff might do the trick but I have never used it.  Have you attempted soaking the part in a bleach water solution for a little while - - maybe even overnight?  That might help get rid of some of the dirt and discoloration.

I think novus will help but if it is discolored it needs something else first. Novus is great for polishing plastic but it is not a stain remover. I would do both. Try the bleach water then buff it out with novus.

          The Novus and bleach might clean it up, it won't remove the scratches. Since the whole part has been molded with white plastic you should be able to use various grits of sandpaper to cut the surface then buff it smooth. Of course you would experiment on the outside first.

Agree with what has been said,
I'd try some soft scrub with bleach to remove the discoloration (Test it first). .if that does the trick, then I'd use a fine grit sandpaper and wet sand the scratches out if they are a problem.. once you get down to a super fine grit paper to get it smooth again, then try the polish (novis) or other plastic polish,, I have used Mothers Plastic polish with success before, but that was on clear plastic where it takes out the fogging of it? not sure what it'll do on white?

It is actually a light grey, but I am sure the color throughout.
