Not cool enough

I have a I think V63..  I plugged it in several days ago and it sounds like its running ok and I feel cold/cool air when I open the door but its not quite cold enough to drink.  is there a way to adjust the temperature? also while I hear and feel air moving I don't know if the fan ever runs..  how can I test it??   what should I be looking for to know if it needs freon or not??   thanks...   greg
