I am trying to get the coin mech out of a vmc 44. I cannot get the pin out of the rear part of the shaft. Any tips on getting it out? I have been at it for over an hour and it has not moved

It should just press in, there is no locking mechanism on it.  Have you tried giving it some heat, then gently pressing it out with a vice, or maybe a roll-pin punch?  Or just hit it with some PB Blaster, and let it sit for a while.

I got it out! I did have to heat it with a torch. I was trying to be careful applying the heat but I ended up almost catching the insulation inside on fire. I ended up dousing everything in water. the outer door is rotted bad so I am going to cut the embossing out of it and use it as a sign or something. Everything else is good on the door. Thanks for the help
