I am thinking about putting a serious effort into looking for and restoring a Mills 45 or maybe a 47. I even like the 65 model.

What is the best machine to look for?
How difficult is it going to be to find one?
How much should I expect to pay?
And are there any common issues I should watch out for when purchasing one?

I know nothing about these machines and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey RC. I'm presently waiting to hear about a Mills 65 myself. I don't know anything about these either. I swear I was gonna post the same thing biggrin

I know a buddy of mine has a Mills 45 for $2000 restored in Alabama

Manuals are available for all the models that you mentioned  at Funtronics or at the Soda Jerk Works.  I have yet to know of anyone who has a manual for a Mills 400C Automatic Fountain (actual name) cup machine.  I have the Mills 400, or should I say my son has it.  Either way we were suppose to work on it during the summer but instead I finished a few other projects.

Hopefully this summer will be the summer that all three of us restore a Mills.

If anyone finds a Mills 400c Automatic Fountain manual or schematic, PLEASE!! hopefull hopefull hopefull hopefull hopefull hopefull hopefull, let me know.

Its not a manual, but a cool old ad!  I'll put my searching skills to the test, see if I can find anything

Thanks for the image.  I have the same image with a different write up plus the some ads and the brochure for the 400.  I also have ads for the 65 and the Mills 120.

tkaz--great link!  A lot of cool stuff in there if you scroll through the pages.  Hot nut vending machines with the cup dispenser at $14.95 each in lots of 5!!!  I'll take 20 at that price!

Here's another Billboard link with the Mills 400.  A version that I have never seen  before.  Plus all the other cool stuff.

I'll give him a call this afternoon. I know he had it at the Chicago show in the fall and it didn't go.
