Vendo 63 parts

HI all,

I came across this machine for sale, however it is missing the door covering the coin mech.  Are these parts easily available, and if so, any idea how much I may expect to pay for them?  Does anyone out here have a spare one that they are willing to part with?  

Most of the other parts appear to be with the machine, and it does get cold.  How is the collectability of this model?

I am not real familiar to these machines.  Will the V-63 hold 12 oz bottles (how about cans?'>), or just the 8 oz. bottles.

Yea there are parts out there! But it depends on which model/year of V63 we're talking about, 50's roundcornered or 60's/70's squarecorners some later models ones vended cans as well as bottles, a picture would help as will the model no. on th e ID tag of the machine, a picture of the bottle rack vending/mech would answer the can/vs/bottle question too

Oh not another vendo 63 with out a coin door .
 I had one I sold two or three month's back for $45 or $54
 dollers  they are a very cool machine  to have .

The Door might be hard to come up with , The coin mech.
some one here might have a spare that they can cough up

The machine is a late 50's, early 60's square corner machine.  Attached is a picture of the machine as requested.  

This was a restoration project that has been sitting for many years, and some of the parts have traveled away from the machine.  It is missing the crome trim around the perimiter of the face as well as the door.  I need to talk with the current owner, she stated that some of the parts may be buried in the garage.  

I know that everyone else asks this question, but what do you feel the machine is worth in it's present condition with the missing parts?  The body does appear to have scratches, but no major rust or dents.  I don't want to buy a "bargain" machine to find that it will cost a fortune to replace all of the small stuff.  I am going to get a good look at it tomorrow, and will take a few more pictures.

Hey but it! a Vendo V-90 door will fit it too! I just swapped doors between my V63 (which I'm curently painting/restoring)
and a V-90 (which had a straighter door) fit's fine! bolted right up, no problem, the chrome trim can be replaced by car/truck chromed plastic trim, or you can buy 1/4" square aluminum tubing & cut & fit it to size & have it chromed, or paint it in a contrasting trim color, looks nice! heres a shot of mine fresh out of the paint booth, (actually still in it!)

Well Larry I think you can save it . They all need work
when you first buy one  but this is not bad I've seen worse.
 I have some parts left from the v63  that I parted out
 that could not be saved. i'll check .

As far as a value of this  one I'm cheap ! I find all my machine
next in line at the scrap yard so I get a deal or free. I would start out at maybe $50. dollers.The big thing is do you like it and are up to doing the work on it .
