Daughter's fiance dropped by the house  last night. Knows the stuff we all are looking for. We were talking on the weekend and he knows where there's a couple of tall boy gas pumps. He knows the guy and phoned him. The sounds like he just wants to get rid of them now. "Peter" stops by (forgets to take pics the dumb a$$) and the guy shows him a small barn/drive shed crammed to the rafters. He didn't have time to go through it and had to leave. The guy phones him on his cell a while  later saying there's a few old cash registers in there as well somewhere's and are we interested in them?
I don't want to get my hopes up but you never know. We're going there Sunday bright and early. I've been on chases before and sifted through piles of junk but I've found that 1 "gem" in the pile to make up for it.

Good luck. It sounds like  it would be a fun hunt, even if it turns out to be a bust.

Send us lots of pictures! I am still waiting for my barn find....the only thing I have picked up out of a barn was an embossed Coca Cola slider...but there weren't ten other things to go with it. Good luck!

Trick I used to do was drive around with a 39 or a master in the back of my truck and sure enough someone would always approach me at a gas station or store and said they have 1 or 1 like it. Go to thier place sometimes and it'd be in the barn and go from there.
My buddy Matt Daly found the "Daly 32" that way in Michigan

I have had similar experiences but have found nothing rare. But now that you mention the idea, I believe I will put a master in the back of 72 Cheyenne and see if it still works.
