Those Who Stay Will be Champions!

« on: December 04, 2009, 06:17:58 am »

I finally won an E-Bay auction on a vintage phone that I have been trying to pick up for quite some time and actually got a pretty good deal based on how much some of the other ones have gone for.  An Automatic Electric Model 50 "Jukebox" wall phone.  I love the lines of this phone and it has the brass accents which look great!

Also, the day before Thanksgiving I picked 5 old wooden Coca Cola crates for next to nothing.  Two of the old yellow ones and 3 of the red ones.  A HUGE added bonus on the old yellow ones is that they are marked Wyandotte, Mich.  I know I have mentioned that my wife's family were Coke bottlers for 4 generations before and their family beverage bottling company was Wyandotte Coca Cola back in the day!  I showed the crates to my father in law on Thanksgiving and he said there is a good chance that he either loaded or unloaded those from a truck when he was in high school.  How cool is that! Cool

Neat finds Tim - I love the phone.  When my kids bring their friends over - they have no idea how to operate a rotary phone.

Great looking AE phone, Tim! I love those. That''s one that is on my "Want list" as well as a "Spacemaker" phone.

VMC--unfortunately if the power goes out VOIP doesn't work for some reason???

I was actually surprised that the dial phones work quite well on VOIP though!
