Hello, I am new to soda machines.  My wife wants one so I started looking.  I really want one that will vend cans and bottles.  I know a cavalier uss 64 will do that .  Are there any others?  I have found this westinghouse machine and wondered if it can be made to do both.  What is the value of it?  It appears to be in good condition.  Not much on the web about them.

The Westy can be set up to vend both cans and bottles, but selections may not easily be changed from bottle to can and vice versa.

Thanks.  Now, can you tell me what you mean by "not easily".  Can it have bottles in one slot and cans in another?  Can you recommend another machine that would be better suited to do both?

If it does not have the 'can' adapters, then you have to secure a PVC pipe to the rear spacer. You can have 3-4 bottle columns and 2-3 can columns, but to make them all bottle columns, then you have to remove the PVC.
Can't say whether it has the 'can' adapters without a pic.

I asked the guy for pics of the inside.  How much is it worth?  What are other machines that do cans and bottles?

Won't definately be able to determine from a random pic - it needs to be from a certain angle.
Aside from the USS series, most column vendors can be modified (if not already enabled) to vend cans.

Ok thanks.  I also have found a Vendo v126 closer to me for $250.  Is it worth it and can I make it vend cans?  I know it has the flaps that the bottles pull through. Sorry so many questions, I am new to this.  Thanks

It sure makes it easy to look for machines when 'the wife' wants one!
Where are you located?  I have a line on a USS-64 that's fully functional for cheap in the northern VA area, if anyone is interested.

The 126 will NOT vend cans and in my personal opinion I would not buy either machine. They are both huge machines that are basically impossible to resell. If you need a can and bottle machine I would wait for a good USS-64 to come your pay or if you want all cans I would just buy a Vendo 56 or 63 already set up for cans. That is the best route. You may even find a member on here that has a can rack to convert a bottle machine.
