O.K. guys, I talked to the lady by phone last night at work and told her to email me an estimate on how much she was trying to get out of them(96,72 x 2 and the 81). I checked my email as soon as I got home and she said she was asking $350 for the 96, $400 each for the 72's AND the 81. Sounds pretty good but what do you all think? I am sure that I can get them for less for buying them all at once. She said that she also has at least 2 complete 39's in a barn behind her house. I'm excited!!!! One more thing, the Slider has been restored and she is asking $600 for it.

Wow, looks like you might be able to get a nice instant collection for a great price! I would think that her prices are reasonable, and making an offer on the package deal might even be better for you. With the 72 x 2, 81, and 96 (for parts), you are talking $1550. Offer $1300 and you might score. The 39s would be good if you could get them cheap. As for the Glasco, $600 might be ok if restored well. I would concentrate on the first group, then look at what funds you have left...and go check out that barn!

I think her prices are fair..I'd go for the 81 and the 72's first then look at the 39's and if complete make a deal on those too.. then if budget permits, maybe the slider and the 96 for last?
Good luck! Nice find Check out the barn, I'm sure there is something else in or behind there that she is forgetting about.. take pictures if you can and maybe there is something one of us can spot that is identified and that you could go back and get too?
good luck!

Go for it! where are you located? I may be interested in the machines that you don't want. I would love to have one of the C72's.
