Well I bought my first coke machine in August 2008 and now have considered purchasing another machine... (you guys are right about how you get one than another, and another ...) I have the option of purchasing a Vendo 110 ($200 non working) or a Vendo 216 ($250 working but missing a couple small things (from photos): bottle cap catcher, bottle opener bezel, kick plate, cracked door liner, camshaft cover plate, broken right bottle door, missing bottle opener). I currently have a vendo 6 case vertical so not sure I want the 110 but it is a more valuable machine... Both have been repainted at some point and im looking to drive 2.5 hours for either one... What would you pick and what would you pay?

Out of those two, I'd probably take the 110. Those are some big machines you are looking at. I might save up a bit and look for some smaller models myself, especially if you already have a 6 case. Once you get bit by the bug, space is the hardest thing to come by I've found, so smaller is better (and easier on the back) IMO.

It depends on what you want with them. If you are looking to resell at anytime then wait for another machine but if they are something you like and want to keep and use I personally like the 216's and they are rather rare, but rare doesn't mean valuable. The price you are paying is about fair market price for a good working machine. If you have the space go for it but remember this is a huge machine. And all machines should be kept full to save energy so you may have to take a second mortgage just to fill it Smiley

I'd pass on any machine as big as the 216, no matter how nice it looked.
A complete 110 for $200.00 is a pretty safe purchase, it could compliment your
selfserve................or the parts are worth $200.00 alone
