Hello Jim

Welcome to SMC!
If you're located in Waminster, does this mean you work out of Willow Grove Air Force Base...?
If so, I'm from this area and have relatives in the area; Montgomery/Bucks County...

Yes Indeed, i work at Willow grove NAS, been here 8 years now!

Next time you're around, come on over for a tour of the base and the A-10... also have a soda out of my WE6 while checking out my project cars, a 1980 Chevy Monza Spyder and a 1974 Corvette Stingray with a 454 powerplant! that is, if this kinda stuff insterests you...

Jim,

I appreciate the invitation and just might take you up on it the next time I'm visiting relatives in the area! Especially, since you mentioned a tour of the A-10; ironically, one my favorites ! ! !
Enjoy the soda from your WE-6!

Wow A10s I was born in Alexandria, LA on England AFB home of the A10 flying tigers. Neat planes and probably my favorites, We were forced to move when the base closed and we ended up going to Barksdale AFB in Shreveport, LA where he worked on KC-10s

Sodaworks, I was stationed at Eielson AFB in Alaska and from what I have heard Mt Home is a nice base, if you like the outdoors stuff.. I love hiking and fishing, thus I loved Alaska! If you son liked the outdoors and dislikes the big cities, Mt Home will be nice, Boise is a big city, but I do recall its a bit away from the base....

coke and stuff, when i was a kid I loved seeing the A-10 at airshows.... i never thought when I joined the USAF in 1993 that I would work on them non-stop for the next 13+ years of my life....
