I have a Westinghouse WE6 that is nothing but a shell - no lids, no compressor or panel...nothing. I bought one of the drawer cap catchers off eBay recently, but that is all I have other than the bottle opener bezel (short 59 style). The body is in pretty good shape with just some small dents.

I was thinking of taking it down to a local chop shop and having them turn it into a loveseat. Leave the front alone and even keep the bottle opener and cap catcher on it. On the back side, cut out the embossing and put the love seat there with two storage drawers underneath where the compressor compartment is.

Has anyone ever done this or had it done? How much would be a reasonable cost (paint it also)?

MoonDawg used to build couches out of shells like this that were otherwise destined for the the dump.   But..  put one on e-bay about 5 years ago and the Coca Cola police flew out from Atlanta to Calif to visit. Threatened a $10,000 lawsuit for trademark infringement if I sold it to the public.  It's OK to make a couch for personal use.........just can't legally sell it!          What is their problem?

What were they wearing - pin striped shirts and soda jerk hats with badges on them?

Well, this would be for my own personal use. Depending on how much it would cost - I may or may not.

That's pretty unbelievable. I mean it is not like you were fabricating or reproducing their logo. I see cooler turned couches every now and then on eBay as well as the guys that turn coolers into trailers and what about the Coca Cola Hot Rod I've seen a picture of? All of that is kind of the same thing - isn't it?

Hey speaking of Hot rods! That reminds me... years ago in the Club Soda magazine someone took this
same type cooler along with a old riding lawn mower and made a Coke Car out of it ...
Pretty cool looking they drove it in parades...
What a weird deal on the Cooler Couch... What's the difference selling a Cooler, machine, trailer or couch They should be glad! Heck FREE advertisement......

Well, on that sad note, I was playing with the idea of turning my Cav 22 cooler into a bar for my back patio.

(Being I'm having no luck with lids to replace the red ones that are all rusted out at the hinges.)

We are looking into having a bar top made and hinging the good silver lids to it. Would need to insulate the underside . I have replacement liners that may work.

Give me some advice guys.

Johnnie can you do a drawing?

Joesquid what's your friends shop # in Destin. Think he's got lids?

Curts what would it take to do something like that. I know you 've done candy machines, need you expert advice.
