Dan,
You got lucky!! I had to Dremal the right side to accept flathead so I could get a good grip with a long screwdriver. Busted at least 6 cutoff blades :-)

Actually, not so lucky. The screw on the left is what lead me to go to Lowes and get myself a Dremel set!
