My dad lost the key to his vendo ha56e coke machine and drilled out the lock.....still couldent get it open. long story short it hasnt been opened in at least 18-20 years..... untill i looked at it and i used some wire and poped open the door. I then cleaned it out and got it up and running, it cools and everything works it seems. Only one problem, you put coins in and it doesnt vend.... any suggestions?

Hi,
Welcome to the board! It could be any number of problems from the coin mech on down to the vend solenoid. You can make it a free vend very easy - what do you want it to do?

It could be dirty. For starters try removing the slug rejector from the coin mech. It is the piece on top thats recieves the coins. Run it through the dish washer and re-install it.  '>

I still cant seem to get it to work so does anybody know of somewhere to buy a coinco nickle changer? (besides ebay hopefully)

You can't get the machine to vend or can't get the mech to accept coins? Do you need (or want) it to accept coins or would you like it to free vend? Can you attach a picture of the mech?
