Just a thought

ive been comming to this site for a while .and it very informative, and a great place to get help you guys have done a wonderful job in building it .
and i was thinking the one touch that would be nice is if it had a real time chat room so the members could meet and get to know each other and also would be able to help each other on a  more personal basis . just a thought

I have looked into this but felt that there wasn't a large amount of visitors in the Discussion Areas to warrant a "Live Chat" Area...
There are other features to aid users to get closer to real time communication by utilizing PM's (Private Messages) or by Topic Tracking (Track this Topic) so a notification is sent when someone replies to your topic of interest.
Lastly, there are always the Instant Messengers eveyone has, AIM, MSN, Yahoo etc... You could Instant Message someone right from the board!
At some point, when the activity in the Discussion Areas increases substantially, then "Real Time Chat" may become an additional feature...
