Can I add

as a buyer rather than a seller I would always go for a guy using PayPal over someone not. As an overseas customer it is an absolute must. In the past I have had to change money into dollars and send it hidden. It takes weeks to get there and then weeks for the goods to arrive.

PayPal is so easy but does come at a cost. If only I had shares in Ebay.

Sorry, but it's a POP MACHINE!

I broke down and registered today.  The shipping feature seems nice, I've had a few sellers ship that way.  This may mean less standing in line at the PO (just give the stuff to my wife to give to the mail person at work).

Two more questions for those of you who have used the shipping feature:
Delivery Confirmation comes free with electronic transactions, right?
If you get insurance on a package, do you have to go to the PO, or can you still just give it to a mail carrier?

Sorry, I have never used the shipping features.  I either go through the post office or the shipping department at my company, you can save a ton with those corporate rates.

If you are shipping domestic you can buy insurance as you pay for shipping via ebay/paypal without going to the post office.  I use the paypal USPS shipping every chance I get.  You just pay online, print the label, and glue or tape it to the package.  It's extremely convinient.  You can request that your mailperson comes by your door to pick up the package.  Usually I just leave a note in the mailbox for the carrier and he drops by to pick it up.
