My Stoner Restoration

Hello all! I was hoping for some help disassembling my Stoner Junior candy machine. First off how do you remove the pull knobs? Also, in this condition would it be best to disassemble the entire vending stack, shelves and all. Or would I be able to get it to look pretty nice with some Simple Green and elbow grease? Or could I take everything as is to a place that does zinc plating?
