Well my first auction of this year and I went to
check out a old gumball machine... Well it was
a Simpson Jr from the 1910s and on the last table
was this Vendo Coin Changer. I've always wanted
one and now I have one. I think what saved me from
spending a small fortune was the fact it didn't have
the Coca-Cola Paper label in it. Love the art on this
old original label so I'll probably make a new one to
match.

Anyone else have a find for the month of January? '<img'>

Eric,

I think that if the changer is complete and functioning, you did well!
If my memory servers me, the red handle is a later model...
Good purchase!

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Thanks! With the info of Jeff's book it would be the older model since it doesn't have the empty window.
I know it's missing a little coin catcher box which is repro'd
Does anyone out there have images of the insides?
There's a mech that apears to work and is very clean inside.
Just never have seen one opened
But no dents rust.

OR... if anyone out there has a brochure on these
and how they worked... Just want to make sure it's
complete. So a image of the insides from the real
deal or brochure would be great! Thanks!! '<img'>

Eric,

You're right about the window!
I apologize for the inaccurate data! '<img'>
I happen to have an original service manual for the early version of the Vendo Coin Changer; so, I'll post a photo as soon as I get dig up the manual... Just a few minutes... I hope...
