So...  Because I am a giant nerd, i have this idea of creating / restoring an old machine to look just lie a Nuka Cola machine from the game Fallout 3.
Here's a reference image http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m2mi98ILcy1qgb1o5o1_1280.jpg.

I guess my question would be to all the collectors out there, what do you think would be a good starting machine?  Something similar in profile and shape.  Obviously I am not going to find a 100% match, but all the knowledge here, someone has to be able to point me to good base.

Thanks

The concept art kinda reminds me of the Westinghouse WC-42T

I would think that a Vendo 110 could be cut down to look similar. Be sure to keep us posted if anything develops.

Here's another challenge someone with your imagination took on, and I'm impressed.  Good luck.

If your looking for an inexpensive machine that has the right hand bottle door a Lacrosse machine might work.

Haha, that's awesome. I'm actually in the middle of playing through Fallout New Vegas. Can't offer much help in way of what machine would be best to start with but I am definitely interested to see what it turns out like. Good luck!

Kinda has the look of a Cavalier 51 but those are embossed. If it doesn't have to look to close a VMC 27 or 33 is always a good machine to fantasize. Small and inexpensive and not embossed unless it's a Pepsi or 7up.

I don't know about Fallout game but a vendo 83 without drum would work i guess. You can maybe modify a coindoor from a cav 51 or a big dr pepper machine.
Shelves, stack and bottle door i think you can modify from a rightdoor squaretop.

If we can't restore them, Nuka them  smile

I'd say start with a  v63 or similar square top, then created the front bezel

Lots of great ideas...  I think that if I start this, then I am going to have to cut a machine in half.  Probably a V63 or a Cavalier 64.
I found so higher res pictures on teh internet, and they gut who designed it obviously has no idea how a vending machine works.
It has these flat shelves in it... Which would work if it was an automat, but not so much for a vending machine (unless you only stocked 5 sodas at a time)

Still I think I potentially make something work...

Wife is going to kill me I am sure Wink
