I just won a penny scale on ebay and need togo pick it up.  Is it ok to lay these down or will it mess up all the insides?

I have laid down both Peerless Ticket Scales and my Lollypop scales without incident.
Actually, I take that back, be careful as your scale may utilize oil and some may leak out if laid on its back...

My six cents,

What kind of scale did you get? I have the specs to calibrate the Watling 200/400 scales if you need it.

I have a Watling scale and I laid it down in my van not knowing that it has an oil reservoir.  The van was good but it sure was oily inside the scale.  Be careful.

You could take the oil out with a turkey baster.
