I have seen many Cavalier 51's in my area for about this price.  I have noticed a lot of times the "Ammo Belt" is missing?

They aren't the most collectible but they are "embossed" .  I would offer around $500.00 and see were they go from there.  Is the coin mech. present?  I have seen the belts for a few hundred on CL / Ebay.  I have never followed the auctions very thoroughly and don't know what they actually sold for.

As far as the coin mech. that could bring a few hundred bucks at auction by itself easily of course in my opinion....

Single vend and very tall  darn
Will not compliment your 27 or 81 at all.
Unless you want to sell the coin mech and ammo belt just to break even, I would leave it where it is.

I like the C-51s. cool machines. If it were complete, in good working order, and near me, I would buy it. Even though I don't need another machine right now.

I usually see them running around $850.00 in my neck of the woods.

I too like the 51's.
THey have a great look to them, with the large embossing on top as well as the large ICE COLD on the bottom.
Of all my machines that I show people the insides of, the 51 is the one that people are most fascinated with, and are always curious as to how it works.
What I dont like is seeing a 51 with the 2 white over red.
I prefer them all red.

I just talked with him and can get it for $550.

I do like to listen to Glen's advice though...............

It appears that they originally came solid red.  I like this photo.  It represnts a time when we manufactured products in this country and were able to sustain a nice quality of life.  Today..................................................
