Interested in both of these machines. I'm thinking 900.00 for the 39 and 1200.00 for the 81A. Thoughts please.Thanks steve

The 39 looks like it is a nice original and probably will fetch $900, but the 81 with a paint job...I bet his reserve is more than $1200, but maybe not!

        If I were you, I would apply the $900 from the 39 all into the 81.

The V-39 appears to have the later model vending drum that accepts long bottles...

If you look at the second picture that shows the drum (bottom half) it appears that this V-39 drum is the original that will only vend the 8 oz. bottles.  It doesn't have the holes in the back that will allow the 12 oz. bottles to be loaded bottle neck first.  The 81 looks like it has been repainted on the exterior with overspray on the main door gasket.

Both look like nice complete originals though.  I would agree with MoonDawg on which machine to put the money on though.  There are a lot of V-39's out there and even though this one is in good shape, others will come along.
