Bad deal yesterday. Our husky was running to get back in the house. Slipped right before the steps and his front leg went under the lower step and momentum carried his body forward. Broke the forearm badly. He now has 8 pins and a two plates for 3 to 6 weeks and will require a cast after that. 3K+ lesson.

Make sure any steps have solid riser boards.

Creighton,

Very sorry to hear about that.  I have two greyhounds and they are always running around in the house.  I always get worried when the go from the carpet to the hardwood!  I hope your dog has a full and speedy recovery.

Hey Creighton , Kinda of went there and did that except my Husky (Otis or The Big O which ever) blew out his rear knee A titanium plate and 6 or 8 screws and $3,200. and change and arthritis meds every month at $70. a pop .
and this happen last November. It does suck for him this picture was in November.

So brother I do feel your pain ,but you know he will get better because his people care for him and he is part of the family.  smile

Sorry to hear that Creighton. I have a soft spot for dogs. My bid ole chocolate lab just did the same thing on the weekend chasing our jack russel around. The jack went between the steps under the deck and my lab tried to stop doing the same thing as yours did. He limped around and this morning I was taking him to the vet but he's fine now. Scary when these things happen. Hope all turns out well.
