Passed on the VMC72 but have found a Cavalier CSS-96 that looks like the one posted on this site. The older looking one, not the one with wood grain on the front. It has been in continous use sense new, in the lower level of a local department store. I was told by one manager that I maybe able to get it, but need to come back tomorrow and talk to the manager above him. I need an idea of how much to offer. Can you help me?

I'm not sure about the going price for a CSS-96, or why they may be willing to part with the machine... Perhaps it's beginning to get in the way of their daily operations...

We always want to get the best possible price and still not offend the person selling or, in this case, the person responsible for selling the machine!

Hopefully, some others may have real world experiences to share to give you a better idea of how to approach this siduation...

My suggestion is to start around $150 - $200 depending on his/her attitude toward you and the selling of the machine... If at all possible, try a little lower if things seems to be in your favor ans good luck!

I was hoping you wasn't going to say anything to high and that sounds great. Hope they go for it. Thanks for the quick response.

Hey  Jerry  , I would take $250 and keep in my pocket and start off offering $100 . Take your own cart and bring a friend to help you move it ( keep the friend out in the truck)

Good luck I hope you get it.
