How do you get to the compressor on a cornelius slider?  Is the bottom front panel a door or do you have to take the screws out?  Mines not cooling very well.  It still has refrigerant in it.  Coils are clean, just want to add an access port and an ounce or two of R-12.

you have to access is from the bottom of the machine, the "skirt" that goes around the bottom should have one sida that opens to access the electrical wiring, but the compressor itself is mounted from below, so you'll have to either tip it over on it's side, or hoist it up onto a bench, ( I use my ATV/Motorcycle lift for lifting chest style machines to working level)

Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor

"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Thanks D for the offer.  It is a crapy garage machine.  I'll flip it on it's backside, hook up some hoses, and charge it.

I would love a descent Vendo 56 for my garage instead.  I had a Vendo 110, but it was too large for a garage and two mini vans.

This Cornelious is nice for a garage, or Pat's living room.  I hear he loves woodgrain.
