I've got a deck out of a Cavalier machine that the compressor motor died on...should I just send the whole thing to the scrap yard, or is it worth while to have a new compressor installed?

Sure seems like a waste.

I've had compressor units go bad, and new ones put on the original deck with evap and just new lines run.. Usually the newer compressors are lighter, but if it gets the refridgeration back up and running? then you'd have a backup or could sell it ?
