Vendo Changer Slug Rejector

What's interesting is the price for a slug rejector in 1948, $9.29! A stand was only $12.50!

The last original VCC slug rejector I had for sale was from a late model changer and sold for $150+

And Jim - it is fun to look back on what parts cost back then
A Standard Top Assembly (complete with mechanism) for a Vendo 23 was $29.10 - the Deluxe Top was $37.50.

BTW - I had an uncommon VCC insert repopped (copied from an original I had - see pic).

I got my VCC today. I fixed the quarter problem the return lever was stuck and it didn't have enough nickels  I'm real glad it was something simple.

As for the dimes....  It looks like the magnet is too messed up. Anyone have one I can use?? are they the same on other slug rejectors??

Once again thank you all for all your help. If it wasn't for this site I would have no idea what was going on.

The dimes on mine go right though, and the magnet has cracks in it and moves slightly to the touch, so I think it's cracked in a few places where it mounts. Anyone know if that can be fixed or if I can get it somewhere? Thanks again.

The dime magnet is the same on most of the old rejectors (LD and SD). There an uncommon magnet from the 200 series and some small door models, but they are interchangable for the most part.

22% Buyer's Premium ?!?!?! 

I'll never understand these "Buyer's Premiums" that auction houses have been using. They should be called "Buyer's Penalty". Also, IMHO I believe it should be the owner of these items that should be charged the fee rather than the buyer.

When i see a buyer's premium i walk away. I think they are just a ripoff. They get a percentage of the sale and then get the buyer's premium on top of that. I would never hire an auctioneer that charged a buyer's premium

And note they charge $222 an hour to  prep for shipping. 
 Yeah,  2 hrs to   tape the box,  1 hour to  pull  bubble wrap off the roll. 
I was thinking of bidding, but I have to pass.
