I have had icing issues for the past two years on my Vendo H-126A. I have had people say that the freon was low so I had it vac'd and recharged with no change. I replaced the thermostat thinking it was stuck open - no change. I checked my gasket and it is in great shape. Then a few days ago I saw a post describing adjusting the door latch catch. Hmm...stupid me never even thought of that. I adjusted it about an 1/8" in to tighten the main door and "voila" - icing issue fixed! I can't think of how much aggravation would have been avoided by just taking a step back and looking at the obvious first.

I was so happy that she now runs perfectly that I gave her a complete cleaning inside and out.

Cheers.

Jim
