Can't scrub any more, time to paint.  Can I paint the condensor (coils too)and compressor with Hammertone paint?

Second question, painting the evaporator, can I paint the coils that stick out of the sides or do they need to remain copper?

Thanks,

WOW... looks nice... how hard did you rub!! it's very clean... I personally like the look of the copper if it is really clean, so I'd tape it off and just paint the rest.
but you can paint everthing if you'd like it to match...
Some may dissagree.. just my two cents... I paint it all.
Good luck

Thanks, I rubbed pretty hard  smile Here are a couple of before pics.  I think I will tape off the lines on the evaporator and paint but just paint over the lines on the condensor.  Does the type of paint matter?

Thanks,

Very nice work my friend! I see we have a perfectionist joined our group.

Your aluminum fins and copper lines came out like new and I think that
is the way they should stay........looking like new, not painted.

Since you have your baseplates and fanmotor bracket off, they often
look better painted painted the color of the machine.

And I'll bet you are very greatfull that you built that slick little compressor
stand before you started  biggrin
