I seem too recall an attempt from the ill fated Club Soda magazine to establish a group of soda experts known as the "Magnificent 7". Anybody recall? Are any of the "members" on this forum?

I too have most all the old magazines. I just glanced through
mine, March of 99 had Magnificent 7 on the cover but no writeup.
Have heard names like  Jeff Walters , Bob King , Dave Johnson,
Chris Davis, these guys probably have some good tales to tell.

Jay Boer (Spelling of Last name?)
Man he was a legend... He had a TON of stuff specialized in fountains
I believe..... He would have the parts Dave the birdman would need to finish off that Dole of his..
I think RacerX knows him also... Bob KKing had a sweet layout with a Cooler Grill if I remember right his house had a lot of nice pieces...
Yeah they need to be on here telling us how it use to be finding this stuff
before ebay and everybodies brother started collecting... There were some
great stories on finds.. Ah the good ol' days '<img'>

And let's not forget Dan (Mr Invisible) Kwate himself. I just talked to Jay Booher a few months ago. Scott Burud the king of picnic coolers lives about 35 miles from me.

What we need is a spotlight topic and have these guys show pictures of their collections... I wonder if Scott was the guy Club Soda spotlighted years ago... someone had a killer collection of coolers... all lined up with a bottle beside them.... you all that know these guys ... see if they wouldn't mind showing off their collections... and tell the stories would be fun....

Scott sold the biggest part of his cooler collection. He has a antique store with quite abit of the rest of his stuff in there for sell. He is now into restoring vintage camp trailers.

Well, I glad I'm not the only one that remembers this! I will have to drag out my old mags and find the write up on this. Was proposed I don't think the mag lasted much longer after that.
PS... I want my book deposit back!!
