Double dots so they're pretty old if original...

Hello Dave,

I don't have a Pepsi Advertising book at my disposal, but I can tell you that the sign on the left is from the late 40's based on the double dot logo and bottle label. The yellow sign is earlier, perhaps from the mid to late 1930's.

Are the bottles embossed on the sign?
My biggest concern would be that these signs are older reproductions and a book could shed some light on the issue...

My six cents,

Hello Jim

Not sure if they are embossed. The seller wants a fair bit for them.
Yellow One - £200 ($370)
Blue one - £80.00 ($140)

So, I think I'll pass on them. I'll ask him if they are embossed and if anyone wants them I'm happy to post all for the price it costs me.

Thanks

Dave

Dave -
sounds like a good price if they are located in England and you dont have to pay for shipping.  How easy are signs like that to come by over there?

Hello

I'm not sure if the seller still has them or not. I could make some enquires for you if you were intested. I think I might still have his e-mail although I have changed my internet provider so will have to dig to find his address.

They were in England though.

I assume these are about 1.5m high?  I wonder what the shipping would go on something like that?

Those are both orginal signs and Jim is dead on with the dates.  Price seems a little high to me because these are paint not porcelain signs but I guess it is what you are willing to pay..

Those are nice! Can you talk him down a little on the price?
