I saw this on Ebay & won... It's repainted a cheap "coke" red, but underneath is a Birely's Rootbeer Ideal A55, it's an unusal find here in Michigan (notice the "swimming pool shaped embosing) I'll get more pic's when I get a chance, underneath it's a yellow color. it was located in Brighton Michigan. the owner is a gas pump nut ( take all kinds I guess!  ':<img:'> ) so if your into gas pumps, you ought to see this guys garage! He goes by the handle of "bigcheese" if you're searching for a pump. or contact me with a P.M. & I'll give you his calling card...

Big cheese has a awesome display, he is a very successful dealer who either has it or has had it, and can get it again. He is a active member on oldgas.com. Very unusual slider, getting to be a rare find these days.

Nice find, what does the Birely's Rootbeer logo/paint job look like ? (and why do people paint over the emobossing in a completely different brand)
