Cvc-224 won't vend

I have a CVC-224, and I'm having trouble getting the unit to vend.  I've cleaned up the coin mechanism, and set it to vend for five cents, but no matter what I do, the vending motor won't engage at all.  How can I determine if there is a problem with the motor or a relay or....?  Is there a way to force the machine to vend while the machine is open so I can be sure the motor works?

I'll assume you don't have a service manual, but is there a wiring schematic on the inside of the cabinet door?
Make sure the "sold out" switches are engaged as if there are cans of soda if you don't have the columns filled at least 1/3.
Does this model have separate vend motors or just one?
Are you sure you have the coin mech set to 5 cents and what kind of coin mech is it?
