Hey Folks,
I haven't posted a whole lot lately, but I'm still around! I've still been lurking and reading the threads on a regular basis.
I'm gauging any interest in my restored embossed Ideal Coke slider. Life has taken some different turns for my family and I, so I've decided its best to divest myself of some of my 'toys' for the moment and put the money into areas better suited for it.
To an SMC member, I would like to get $4500 for it. I think that's a fair price based on the relative rarity of these beasties and the quality of the work that went into the restoration. I feel like $5k is the 'market' value on this but I also know it should have a better rack and I would prefer to avoid feeBay. Sadly I had a solid offer of $4750 for it about a year ago but at the time I was just not ready to sell.
Pros:
Pat Pixley restored it for me about 3-4 years ago.
Paintwork and lettering is absolutely gorgeous
Johnny G provided the new compressor
SJW fully restored the coin mech
Machine cools and vends perfectly.
Cons:
It deserves a better rack. The original rack is installed. It was powder coated so it shows "ok" but it has some blemishes from a previous welding job and should be replaced with a nicer example to really complete the look of the machine. Fortunately this is an easy job and fairly inexpensive to replace. Members sell good used ones for $200-$250 and Fun-Tronics has a new Stainless version for $300-ish. Were I keeping it I would go down the new stainless route, it would really complete the job.
I have a few pics of it that I put on my website, feel free to PM me if you have any interest or want any more detailed pics. I can do delivery within about 200 miles of 17402 or happy to work with the buyer's shipper.
