Yeah, yeah, yeah! I could totally see us getting a lot of use out of a "Swap Meet" discussion area.

Let's see how well it works out... I've created the section, "Swap Meet".
There's also the SMC Classified Ads too...

Bryan,

.... The bulbs you will need should not be rated 115VAC, Candelabra base E12 (Typically an appliance bulb) as long as it doesn't exceed a maximum wattage of around 6, you should be fine. Anything higher and you risk melting stuff!!

Now, depending on the size of the locking tab notches for your bulb base's, they sell that style of base (Double Snap-In Spring Clip Candelabra Base Lampholder) at lowes for about $2.70 ea. .....

Brian - thanks for the idea.  Wasn't able to find the exact same fixture but they did have one with a screw on nut that worked.  The nut (goes inside the assembly) was actually just a little too big which worked great as I trimmed it to fit the interior size and now it's keyed to fit and the base assembly screws on really easy.  I'll post pics later to help explain...

It'll be a bit of a bear to replace bulbs, so I'll keep looking for the snap-ins.  But for now, the idea works... Thanks.

you'll only need one socket, that rear sheet-metal housing (rectagular shell) was designed for "correct change only" lens, as well as a seperate partition on other models for a "sold-out" lens as well, I have a box of the correct snap-in type sockets somewhere in the 'Ol Soda Barn, I'll dig around & unearth them....the bulb used is an S6 size with a candelabra base, (same as a C7 night-light), available from 3 to 10 watts, 115-130volt@6-watts is typicle for vending machine use. a 10-watt may start to melting the plastic (as stated in the prior postings)...Here's a picture of the lamp in question...

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!

Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Another issue I've run into is this, the generic "snap-in" type replacement sockets, dont always work well with a standard C-7 (night-light) size bulb, but the S-6 work well because on it's shorter length... food for thought...
