Well I bought my first coke machine about a year ago and I'm finally starting to get around to restoring it. I had no clue what I was doing when I bought it I picked it up for 300 with everything except the cap catchers. The owner said it was running and cooling but he stopped using it because the power wire is scary looking. Now that I inspect it closer I see I'm going to have to weld a whole new floorpan since it's rotted away and weld up some new sides to the lid and the rear cover. Probably too much work for what it's worth but I'm planning on keeping it. But even so I'd like to know the value on these I've done some research and can't find much info for what a restored one would currently go for. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

$500 for a restored one!? That's disappointing. I should break the news to all the guys on Craigslist who want 6-700 for an unrestored one. Oh well, good thing I like it. Thanks for the input! Has the economy really gone down so much since 2012 when the sticky for the values put it at 700-1000 unrestored?

Very hard to put a value without seeing it but the problem is it's just not a collectible machine. It can be a very nice original or a very nice restored one, they just don't bring in big dollars.

I restored one a few years ago as well and had quite a bit of money into it.. floor pans, new tub, parts, lots of rust that needed new metal welded in, and then of course just the hand painting of the logos cost me overf 800 I think as there are so many of them.

it's hard to put "Value" on them restored as you dont' see many for sale ... but I know the restoration cost the guy around 3800 all said and done.

I think it would be very hard to get that  for it on resell...

but I could see something restored right and running and cooling just fine for around 2500 to the right buyer... they are nice size cooler..  just my 2 cents!

I'm going to be able to do all the welding and body work and paint myself so that should save me a good bit. I don't trust myself with the lettering though and I've heard that's around $300 so I really hope I don't end up paying $800! I priced out parts for it and I figure I'll have $500 in it so hopefully only $1100 or so total im sure that will go up but I feel better that that you guys think I could get some money for it if I wanted.

with the embossed lids there are 6 logos on this machine and then the Ice cold lettering on top.

My guy charges about 150 to do the hand lettering per logo... so I got a deal oh kinda..

I guess I'm lucky here it's budded by the job.  But when he does an 81 for me it's about $45 a logo and he does it in 20 mins
