Very interesting soda fountain just popped up on CL here in NC, looks like it's located in Ohio so some of you may have already seen it. Would be spectacular restored, though the price tag is a little prohibitive ($60k)

Here is a rare opportunity to own a true piece of history and the ultimate Pinehurst collector's item. This soda fountain is a James W. Tufts (American Soda Fountain Company) in pink marble, (10) flavor. Although an exact date of manufacture has not been determined, based on the placard at the bottom of the mirror, it is believed to be circa 1890's as the American Soda Fountain Company was formed by Tufts, Puffer, Lippincott, and Matthews in 1891.
The (10) flavors, as shown on the front of the taps are:
Pineapple, Coffee, Vanilla, Strawberry, Ginger, Rasberry, Orange, Chocolate, Lemon, Sarsap'la (sassparilla)
The upper left tap is Vichy and upper right tap is Root Beer. The upper center tap is for carbonation.
Two of the flavors will require repair to the hinge between the plate and valve. The Chocolate, Lemon and Sarsap'la valve knobs are slightly bent. There is a round spot, about the size of a silver dollar and 1/16" deep, directly below the carbonation tap which appears to be from erosion/corrosion. Additionally, the fountain was last operational in 1955. It will obviously need overall general repairs should one wish to return it to working condition. With this in mind the fountain is offered "as-is, where-is" with no warranty or functionality claims any kind.
