My question is....what is the difference??  Appearance is obvious, but functionally....why did Vendo have the two different sizes of coin doors on the V110??

Here's a question from a year ago, but I'd love to hear the answer.

Also, which is more valuable, etc.

Small coin mech.s were used from 1949 to 1955 . The switch to the large doors in 56 offered the option of a coin changer.  Now the customer can drop in his quarter and get 3 nickles back.  As necessary then, as today's dollar bill acceptor.
Opposite the 81 trend, 110's are preferred with the large door
