I think the member who started the thread did get the information he needed. Because of the messiness of the thread, I would suggest it be pulled. Just a thought.

Not really, did anyone tell him the lid for his unit could be found at any swap meet by asking sellers to check under their tables?  It's true........... I saw it on TV.  biggrin

I know that MaineT can be a little blunt at times but on this occasion he is spot on. This guy asks for advice about an item he wants to sell and he gets it. Its not worth much in the current state its in. He doesn't like the advice and he attacks a member here.

I've read the post and it does NOT read to me that MaineT made an offer. Lets face it most of us wouldn't want it even if it was $5.00 unless it had a part we needed. Again this is explained to the guy. Perhaps he thinks his find is going to pay for Xmas or he's been watching too much reality TV.

The simple answer is put it on eBay and see how much it sells for. But it will only be a parts machine. Perhaps some sucker will buy it thinking they have found a piece of American History and pay over the odds. Good luck in finding that guy but don't expect them to be lurking here.

Some boards I belong to specifically do not give valuations. It happens all the time here, even for people that are never going to visit again. You have had your valuation now try and sell it but don't attack someone here because you don't like what you here.
